Become a Member
CAF membership has two components, the national organization, headquartered in Dallas TX and the Utah Wing, headquartered at the CAF Museum, Russ McDonald Field, Heber City, UT
To join the Utah Wing you must join or already be a member of the national Commemorative Air Force. National CAF membership dues are $220.00.
Annual Utah Wing membership dues are $50.00 per year. If you join during October, November and December, the following year is included.
The Cadet Program is available for Boys and Girls ages 13 to 17 (students enrolled in high school or a higher education facility may remain Cadets until age 24). Cadet membership dues are $45 per year. There are no Wing Dues for Cadets. Applications are available online at CAF National or through the Utah Wing.

The Wasp Jr. engine on the Stearman biplane costs $45,000 to replace.
Spark Plugs on the Stearman cost $20 each and there are 18 on this engine
100 Octane Aviation Fuel = $6 per gal
(The Stearman uses 18 gallon/hour!)
Aviation Engine Oil = $21 per gal
(The Stearman uses 1/2 gallon/hour)
What may not be obvious is that to keep this engine from losing bolts, we use something called Safety Wire. This keeps every bolt from vibrating off and causing the unthinkable.
(This Safety Wire can costs about $10)
